Thousands of cannabis industry professionals gathered at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on August 23-25th for the Cannabis Business Times’ annual Cannabis Conference. The agenda was filled with valuable sessions like the latest in cultivation science, reducing electricity usage, and launching a cultivation facility from the ground up.
FOHSE had the honor of sponsoring the conference’s awards ceremony and presenting legendary cannabis activist, actor, and musician, Tommy Chong, with The Inaugural FOHSE Lifetime Achievement Award. At 84 years old, Tommy’s cannabis work has spanned several decades and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. He spent several hours interacting with conference attendees, signing autographs, and taking pictures at the FOHSE booth on the showroom floor.
Wendy Bronfein of Curio Wellness, Drew Duval of Cresco Labs, Ian Hackett with Napa Valle Fumé, Kema Ogden of Top Notch THC Dispensary, and Lindsey Renner of Native Humboldt Farms were also honored during the awards ceremony.
“We saw people doing cool stuff whether that be through charity or social equity programs, and we wanted to shout it from the rooftops. We believe it’s good for people to pull their head up every once in a while from all the work and just get a little recognition for all that they’ve done,” said FOHSE’s Co-Founder and President, Ben Arnet, of the Cannabis Conference award recipients.
We met countless cultivators and operators from all verticals at this year’s conference. As more states and nations legalize cannabis with each passing year, we’re eager to see how cannabis conferences grow and change.
